Why Transparency Matters
We believe in full transparency about how this site works financially. This page explains how we earn revenue, what affiliate relationships we have, and how we ensure those relationships don't compromise our editorial independence.
What Are Affiliate Links?
When we link to a product or service and you sign up or make a purchase through that link, we may earn a commission — a small percentage of the sale or a flat fee per referral. This comes from the company, not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the website.

Our Editorial Policy
We commit to the following:
- Rankings are based on merit, not commission. If a non-affiliate product is better for tradies, we say so and recommend it anyway.
- We don't accept payment for placement. Companies cannot pay to be featured, ranked higher, or recommended.
- We disclose every affiliate link. Articles with affiliate links carry a disclosure notice at the top.
- We label sponsored content. Any sponsored posts or paid content are clearly identified as such.
- We update when products change. If a product we recommend degrades in quality or value, we update our recommendation.
ACCC and Australian Consumer Law
We comply with the Australian Consumer Law and ACCC guidelines on affiliate marketing and influencer endorsements. We are required to disclose commercial relationships — and we do so because it's the right thing to do, not just because it's the law.
